Dowels Rods-Another Question

When you make a stacked cake the is not going to be moved-do you need to put a large dowel rod thru the whole cake. It is only 2 tiers 8, 12. I will use the boba teas straws to support the top tier.

If it is only 2 tiers I think you can use only the straws maybe 4-5 of them.

Even on a small cake, I still use SPS. never a worry and easy.

I would dowel the bottom cake, but if you are not moving the cake, you do not need a central dowel.
