i've been asked to make chocolate hearts using molds. i've never used chocolate before other than in baking. i've been searching the internet and everyone talks about good chocolate and the need to temper it to get a glossy finish. but i'm confused. what type of chocolate do i need to buy? can i just use cooking or pouring chocolate? or maybe choclate candy melts that i assume do not need to be tempered? i'm really confused please someone help. i need to give this for an engagment present and i want them to be perfect.
Tempering chocolate is a tricky thing (I got a machine to do it)
You can probably use melts, if you like the taste.
Becareful not to overheat the chocolate.
