The new parents I made this cake for want to keep the ark/animals in this picture as a keepsake. I have no clue if there's anything that needs to be done to it in order to preserve it. I'm also concerned about it becoming pest food icon_confused.gif Please help!

it should be okay as it, but they could spray it with a clear lacquer/sealant (available near the spray paint at home depot and like places)

Thank you! My DS told me the same thing and I snobbed her because "she is not a cake decorator". icon_lol.giftapedshut.gif

Hi! I know this was posted waaay back in Aug. But I'm new and reading as much as I can. In addition to spraying them with clear coat she could also put them in a shadow box to keep the pests out.. especially if she will store them in a high pest traffic area such as a closet or attic...

Just a thought..

Kimberly
