How do you do the quilted patter on the bottom tier of this cake? I just LOVE the look but whenever I see one well done, it's so perfect, there must be a trick!

By the way, I used this photo as an example because when I saw it, I fell in LOVE! Of all the elegant cakes I've seen, this one just strikes me. I want someone to make ME this cake. ha ha

The quilting can be done with either an impression mat or a diamond impressor. After gently pushing them against the cake you can then go over the lines with a tracing wheel and add pearls, small flowers, dragees to the joints of the diamonds
