I have my basic pound cake yellow cake recipe that I swear by.
Basic 1lb butter, 1lb flour, 1lb sugar, 12 eggs. You get the point.

Now, I know that white cake requires mostly whites, while my yellow cake uses mostly yolks. If I just switch that up would I be okay, or is there something special I must do. Bottom line I want to get a white cake out of my yellow pound recipe.

Help.
Thanks,

Here's a white pound cake recipe:

(This recipe uses whites from 10-12 eggs.)
