I know most of you on here will already know this but i found out about it not long ago and thought i would share with the newbies like myself. covering a board with fondant leave a 'cut' looking edge to the outside of the board. to stop this use 3 fingers, touch the top of the cut edge and gently slide toward the board and off the cake. this will bend the icing to the top of the board. if you do this a few times and then polish the bevel you will get a lovely finish on the edge.
