I bought the ateco #221 drop flower tip, I have never done any drop flower before so maybe I'm doing it wrong but this looks nothing like a flower. I thought it was weird when I got the thing in and it just had three little holes. Does anyone else have this tip and have a pic of what it is supposed to look like? What technique am I missing?

Here is a link to to Ateco tip example booklet. It has all the tips plus examples of what can be done with each one. They have it out at my cake supply store so that you can choose which tips you need. I use it all the time. HTH

The tip #221 is on page 21.

If you look at page 10 of that booklet, you will see that 220, 224 and 225 are drop flowers. But I agree - 221 is not. That tip does the cute triple dot design that is popular on the side of cakes. I did a websearch, and several vendors have it identified as a drop flower tip. Strange.
