When adding sugarpaste to fondant what is the ratio?
How far ahead should I make fondant decorations? Do they have to be completely dry to go on the cake?

Usually, it is about 50/50. It depends on the disign whether or not it needs to dry. If you are adding shapes, like circles or rings that are against the cake surface, you don't have to dry them, but you can.
If you expect it to stand up or stick out, yes, they must be dried first.
