If someone could help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it. A bride has asked me for a white cake with pastel de guava filling. Does anyone know how to make this or where to find the pastel de guava filling?

Thank you for your help!

I believe the bride meant guava paste filling. You can always double check with her.
To prepare filling you just need guava paste and water. You can buy Guava paste at a latin grocery store. Even supermarkets carry it with other spanish products.
like the one in the link

To prepare the filling

Cut the guava paste in little pieces take about one cup or so of boiling water and put it inside a blender until spreading consistency . The paste is already sweet so you don't need to add sugar.

You can also buy the guava filling that comes in the sleeve. It's sold at most cake decorating supplier.

I just found this while googling "guava cake filling" because I have the same request. I am doing the wedding cake for a dear friend and she wants guava filling - and I have NO idea how to make it! I just tried out a recipe for guava curd and either I did something wrong or there is no way this is meant to be a cake filling (admittedly, the recipe I took it from topped the cake with the curd and did not use it as a filling) - it is way too watery. If you found a guava filling recipe, other than just liquefying guava paste, can you share it? Or did the bride mean exactly that ... she wanted guava paste or preserves as her cake filling? I'm so frustrated as I can't seem to find a recipe for this stuff!

Disculpen si no me hize entender.
