Hi, I had a new client contact me to make this cake- 3-D of course- for her, the kicker is she wants it for this weekend.

I have never done a car cake, so I have no idea how hard to expect it to be.
Any ideas on how hard this would be?

Any help is appreciated!

WOW, I know what you mean, I have a Porsche 914 that I am doing for this weekend also. I did a dry run first and used the Wilton Cruiser Cake pan and then carved away what I didn't need from there. It turned out pretty good but I wanted to try to crave "from scratch". Now I am going to try to dray out the profile of the car on posterboard to use as a temple to carve the cake from 9x13 cakes. If this doesn't work, I'll go back to the cruiser pan because at least the bulk of the shape is already there.

If you find something that works, please post it. I have and Audi convertible coming up soon.
