i have a birthday cake due saturday. customer requests for a moist choc cake.

my question is, is it too early if i make the bows (i plan to make 4 of them) today or wednesday? will the fondant be too hard by saturday?
& how do i store the bows since i only plan to frost the cake on friday?

another question is, i haven't made up my mind on which frosting to cover the cake (choc glaze / choc ganache / dark choc buttercream).
among those 3 listed above, which one is the best, to stick some fondant accents on the sides, as well as to attach the bows on top of the cake at each corner (i plan to bake a square cake)?

oh btw i'll be using michele foster's fondant.

TIA!!!

yOU ABSOLUTELY CAN GO AHEAD AND MAKE YOUR BOWS AND FONDANT ACCENTS NOW. i MADE FONDANT/GUMPASTE THINGS LAST WEEK THAT i'M USING ON A CAKE THIS WEEKEND...i JUST STORE THEM IN A CONTAINER ON THE COUNTER. I ALWAYS USE BC TO STICK MY FONDANT TO, BUT I'M SURE YOU CAN USE ANY OF THE ABOVE. I USE RI TO "GLUE' MY BOW TOGETHER. HTH!
