I am in need of some ideas I can do for the middle "spokes" if you will for a steering wheel cake. Then I'm wondering if I should do turn signals and such.
I have a plan to use a tube pan and cut it down to size and mount it on a square cake.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I would do a cupcake for the "center" of the steering wheel, and then those yummy hazelnut-creme filled "pirouette" (sp?) sticks, covered in the icing that you're using. As for turn signals, you could use a sucker mold and fill the stick portion with chocolate to get the wand, maybe?
