I have a quick question I am making a homeplate with a baseball hat on top for a grooms cake. Should I make the base 4" or 2" tall. I can make adjustments elsewhere for servings if needed; I am just not sure what will look right. Any opinions?

I just finished making a Red Sox themed groom's cake! I was going to make a home plate, but I decided it would make the cake too high (I made a hat, Green Monster, bleachers, and a green field to get all the servings I needed, but making a base on top of the field would have made it cover up the scoreboard too much). I would go with a 2" base. It will look more like the real thing. Good luck! Can't wait to see it!
