Forgive me for asking what is probably a very basic question, but I am still a newbie. I am not a huge fan of the taste of the Wilton buttercream, but I am currently enrolled in the Course I class. Is it possible to frost a cake with a cream cheese icing and then just use the buttercream for the decorations (flowers, borders, etc.)?
I assume this is possible, but I don't want to try it out without asking first because I can just see all of my decorations sliding off of the cake because I used the wrong type of icing.
