I have seen this in cake recipes...can someone tell me what it is...thanks
I've never used it but I think its a strong buttery vanilla. Not sure though.
Butavan is a rich buttery vanilla. You can get it from sugarcraft.com
It is a buttery vanilla emulsion. earlenescakes sells it.
There are so many of Earlene's recipes that use it, and I have always wanted to try them, but I didn't know if there was something I could substitute for the butavan and get the same result. Has anyone ever tried any of Earlene's recipes and just used vanilla or some other substitute?
I have the same question. I would love to try Earlene's recipes with possibly a substitute for the butavan.
