i airbrush on buttercream crusted cakes a lot....and i use this sort of technique ....undercoating then blocking out spaces...look how fast it goes once you get the simple concept down...

this could be a cool background for a star wars type cake.

of course it's a somewhat different using an airbrush than a spraycan...but you get the idea.

Wow thats really cool! You could use the Wilton spray cans to do the exact same thing!

I love these. They do them on the streets of NYC all the time. It amazes me how quickly they come together.

How funny! I have an awesome painting hanging in my living room that was created with the same method. I never thought of doing it on a cake.
