My family does not care for fondant on cake, though my oldest dd likes to eat it plain. I live in a small town so of course not many people around here do like it or have even tried it. I don't particularly care for it myself, but I do use it for decorations/accents occasionally.

I needed it for some decorations on dd's upcoming bday cake, so I just made a small batch. I added peppermint extract, but I think peppermint oil would have been even better! We tasted it and OMG...now I think we will just eat it all before the cake needs to be done! I will probably have to make more. icon_confused.gif

Has anyone else tried it? I was just so surprised at how good it is that I had to share. Almost like a chocolate melt away mint. icon_razz.gif

Oooohhh....what would be so good on a chocolate cake. Is that what you're doing? Yum! What fondant recipe are you using?
