I have a cake request for the end of the month and this is the candle they want for a topper. I've never seen anything like it...

OMG!! I immediately thought of that weird green slime cake as soon as I saw the clip! Well, now that at least explains what is on top of that cake and the looks on the people's faces... Still doesn't explain the green ooze though! LOL

I'm not at all a fan of candles on cakes (bake cake, set on fire, spit all over it, serve to guests...icon_confused.gif Oh yeah, that's sanitary...) icon_confused.gif But I must say that's the coolest candle I've ever seen. Post your picture when you get the cake done. Let us know how the customer likes it! icon_biggrin.gif

you know how the birthday boy or girl usually bends over the top of the cake to blow out the candles... in this case, I would announce.... while lighting the "torch"... PLEASE STAND BACK!! AND NO ONE WILL GET HURT!!!

Reminds me of the time they used a roman candle on my brother's July 3rd birthday cake.

It was ... interesting.

This is for a 60 year old man...The box has warnings all over it!

Keep your face, hands, hair and pets at a safe distance when lighting this candle.

Never use the candle near things that can catch fire.

LOL It's like a torch!! I singed my hair once blowing out a candle!

Wow, that's interesting! The music is really piercing, I think I'd like it more if they changed it.

. . . if you read the small print . . . the music can be disabled (so you can use it for any celebration, not just birthdays) . . . THANK HEAVEN FOR SMALL MERCIES . . . icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Wow. I hope this isn't considered rude, but someone had WAY too much time on their hands to invent that! icon_smile.gif

I know what you mean but it sounds like people are ordering them!! And 2 for $12.99!!! A little pricey!!! The power of entrepreneurship!!!!

Actually you get three for $12.95, one each red, blue and yellow. I can think of one person I might be able to use that for, but certainly not three. Everybody's gotta have a gimmick, I guess.

Oh, definitely would disable the music!

I'm sure someone out there likes it, but I find it tacky.

But hey, somebody's making money off this! You gotta give them credit for that!

oh another thing i just noticed- one of the notes is totally wrong. just way wrong. you'd think they would make it right.

also, the happy birthday song is copyrighted. wonder if they got permission to use it...?

My lord, don't wear hair spray if you are the birthday girl/boy. Or anything flammable, for that matter! My 3 yr old would love that.

. . . maybe that's how they got around the copyright law . . . one wrong note and it's not happy birthday anymore . . . icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Yep, it's on the box - Happy Birthday (c) 1935. Used by permission.

It's made in China. Hope it doesn't have lead paint.
