DH's birthday coming soon. He loooves yellow butter cake with chocolate icing, so that's what I'lll make.
I have tried to search for chocolate cake decorating tips and can't find anything. Nothing is listed under "brown" either.
Does anyone have any decorating ideas for a man's chocolate cake? TIA.
All I can think of are generic looking things but still nice. I have one in my photos that was made for my dad's b-day. It is frosted with chocolate ganache with pirouette cookies stuck on the sides. Then chocolate dipped strawberries on the top. You can easily use your chocolate icing in place of the ganache. It makes a nice presentation and tastes yum!
you'll find some really nice men's cakes in the father's day section...and a lot of them are chocolate.
I like the brightly colored (red, orange, yellow) bows, dots, or stripes on chocolate. Or do a FBCT of his favorite team or something. Every cake I make for my dad has chocolate BC.
