One of our pastors will be leaving in a couple of weeks & I'm doing the cake. There will be 2 --1/2 sheet cakes & I think I'm going to do something like this http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=345933

Then I had thought to do a suitcase cake for the other, but the lady hosting the party is wanting more of a green theme. Any ideas?

that new pastures cake is very cute...the suitcase idea is also a good one. not sure what you mean by green theme though. green as in color or as in environmentally friendly?

Green as in the color theme--decorations etc.. I keep forgetting people have "green" environment parties.

It doesn't have to be a themed cake, designs would be ok, but I just don't know what would look good. 12x18 is quite large & I'm not much on the rose clusters you find on most sheet cakes & this is a young couple & I doubt they're into the roses as much either. I had thought about "duff" roses or ribbon roses but didn't know how you would place them on a sheet cake.

i think the suitcase idea is a good one, you could always make it green.
