I have an Epson CX8400 and I'm having problems with the ink cartridges . It keeps telling me to replace the cartridges because it doesnt recognize them. Please help, I need to print this in the next two hours . TIA
Did your rename your printer Cannon Epson
Thanks mommy_of_3_DDs but I have already checked this site for help and was unable to find anything.
Maybe some other CC member has experienced this problem before and can give me some feedback.
after you make sure of that (rename) take your cartridges out shake it and try again
I didnt rename it since I was using Publisher. But I will try that and let you know what happens. Thank you.
Molly2 I renamed the printer, shook the cartridges and nothing. I get the same message. Thanks though. I appriciate your help.
do you have more then one printer connected to you computer.
Are you sure you have them in the right slots? They have to match up with the way they are set up in the holder for them.
Also, if this one of the ones you have to change the little metal plates on the cartridges, those have to match up exactly as well.
Sorry, my mind is not cooperating with the proper names of the parts.
Hope you get it figured out!
I do have only 1 printer connected.
Im pretty sure that they are in the right slots since i have been able to use it in the past.
I will check the chip.
Thanks for all ur help guys.
Sorry I had to leave did your printer start working yet
also unplug your printer from your computer wait 10 secs then plug it back try to print again
My printer still wont work. I changed the chips from the original cartridges to the edible ones and it still says that the printer does not recognize the cartridges. I dont know what else to do.
All I can think of to do now would be to call Canon and/or wherever you got your cartridges from, see if they can help you.
I'm sorry, I don't know what else to suggest.
me either I have the same printer and have not had any problem I am planning on using mine later I don't know what else to tell if you got you ink from kopy cakes you might need to call their tech to see if they can walk you though it when you do get it to work please I'd like to know what the problem is
I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen with a regular ink printer. I never did figure it out and got another printer as a gift for Christmas. I think they brand new ink cartridges are still sitting in the printer in the basement. Ugh, wasted money.
Thanks veejaytx & Molly2. I will call kopykake and see if someone can help me out.
Other than that Im ready to throw the printer against the wall. But its not even worth putting a whole in the wall.
I will post an update soon.
Yeah, I agree with you MichelleM77. It was a huge wast of money.
