This is the recipe that I am using....

The filling REALLY tastes like alcohol. Will the alcohol evaporate. Children will be eating this cake and I don't wanna get them drunk. icon_lol.gif

Seriously will it go away?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure, as I've never made it. But since it's not heated or cooked in any way, I'd say the alcohol will remain.

Yeah heat gets rid of it. Not so much evaporation because the icing is holding it in. It will stay hot like that.

The alcohol won't evaporate. Make a big bucket just for the kids. They're better to deal with when asleep. Hehehehehe Sorry I know that isn't of any help. icon_biggrin.gif
