You know I used this tutorial to help out a fellow decorator put hibiscus flowers on cupcakes for a party this summer -- they turned out great and she learned how to pipe them. Thanks again for posting this tutorial!!
I have been saving this thread in my favorites on my computer for over a year. I've been wanting to try the hibiscus so bad but never have time to play, I'm just always too busy to play with buttercream. Well tonight I got to play. I did a bday cake for my Grandma who loves hibiscus. So go look at my pics CenterpieceSweets I thank you for the tutorial! I wouldn't have done it without it! Fixin to upload pic now~ Thanks again!

They look great
I used tip 3 or 4 to do the bud. Sorry I'm just now repling. My computer broke down again. Next time I do them I'm going to use a larger rose nail. I think that would look gorgeous.
Very cool! Thanks for all the info! I think I'm going to be making a luau cake in August.
Thanks for posting this. I just love hibiscus. A tutorial for in the articles section would be great.
