Any Ideas On A 4Th Of July Anniversary Cake?

I was asked to make a 4th of July 50th Wedding Anniversary cake. Anyone have any ideas? They just wanteed a 12x18 sheet cake, but trying to figure out what kind of decorations I would do.

Boy that is a hard one, how about a big 5 0 in gumpaste/fondant in a gold to stand up in one corner and incorporate red, white & blue flowers. Maybe even some stars to stick up behind the 50 in all the different colors. Not sure if I helped, maybe someone else will have some ideas.

could you do some sort of 3D fireworks with a golden 50 in the center of the cake... you know something along the lines of the sparks still going after 50 years??? Corney huh????
