Okay, this is pretty cool.. AND FREE!

http://www.wiziq.com

It allows you to teach an online class. You can use a webcam or not. I did a stupid one on math functions just to test it out, but it is great. It captures my writing in real time so when people go back to look at the class after it is over they can see what I write as I say it. Not just a powerpoint with everything already on it.

So you hold a live class... no one has to attend, it is automatically recorded and archived so people can link to it later and watch the class at a later time if they missed it!

So I was thinking some of us could offer a class on gumpaste, or fondant, or whatever... schedule it. We could all join in and watch live.. and participate, you can chat or video in... then for those of us who couldn't make it we could watch later online!

I am in Texas for a month and didn't bring any cake supplies so I can't start it off... but I"m hoping someone will. That would be cool! If you do put me down [email protected] as an invitee please icon_smile.gif

I can't quite tell, from the site, but this looks like it's free to the students too? So you don't really get paid for teaching? Or is there something I'm missing?

Please don't get the wrong idea, I do love to share and help with advice if I can, I just can't afford to teach for free (I'm already being foreclosed on).
