yay! i did it! it's my birthday cake... don't trust my mother. 
i'm so proud of myself... i know it could use a little work but so what. 
ok it's too big to attach and i'm too lazy to change the size. it's in my pics. tfl!

Doni, ha. i covered the flaws with decorations- actually I changed my original design idea to cover them.
i do wish i had a fondant smoother though. next time!

I'll tell you what I tell my students in the various craft classes I teach: It's not a flaw... it's a design element. 
I like to think that it's a master hand guiding me to a design I didn't know was in my head. LOL
