HAs anyone ever made nfsc with out the baking powder? does it make a difference?

It's pretty much a shortbread recipe. It'll rise a wee tiny bit. I've accidentally left it out and the cookies were fine, a little flat, but just fine.

When I make the NFSC, I leave out one tsp. of the baking powder. I think three's too much.

I only use about half of what the recipe calls for too.
