Any ideas for a filling for cherry nut cake? I was thinking cream cheese frosting but would like something more ???? Any ideas would be appreciated. TIA

What flavor of nut is in the cake? Almond goes good with cherry as does vanilla or brandy. The cream cheese sounds very good too.
