Hi all,
I have been reading prevous posts for over an hour on Oreo cakes and seeign the fantastic pitures of Oreo cakes you all made
I'm struggling to know how to make one? It has to be able to not have to be kept in a fridge, like a choc sponge cake thats covered in fondant to look like a oreo? but what colour fondant would you use to get that really really dark brownie/black colour? Or am i going about it the wrong way?
Please help as the cake is due next week and silly me thought i'd find the dark colour fopndant with no probs til i actually checked now
Thanks everyone
Em xxx
Oreo's are actually black
I'd use the dark chocolate satin ice (not the chocopan cause it's warm out now )
and i'd add a little black to make it even darker
I was just joking.. we have a on going thing.. her and I.. we joke about me loving Oreos and her not
LMAO..
I sleep on a tofu mattress too..
(no really.. I don't love tofu)
And hahahahaha CDMT (your name is like.. too long to type out man *said in my bestest granola head/I'm too high on "life" to care accent*) You better watch it or I'll come replace all of your Oreo fillings with tofu and wheatgrass.
To tht OP.. dark chocolate satin ice or choco pan fondant would work wonderfully for this type of a cake or even dark chocolate modeling chocolate which you can make pretty easily with chocolate and corn syrup.
you can call me whatever you want, Jeanne, just not tofu oreo. and you can't fill my oreos with tofu- don't eat 'em. ha!
