Dry Pudding Mix In Scratch Cakes?

hi,
i was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this. i love baking cakes from scratch but they always turn out so dry. im sure many people have this problem. i love the recipe that im using now, i just wanted to know if i could add a dry pudding mix to it to make it more moist. and if so, do i add more or less of something else? anything will be greatly appreciated! thank you!
