Ok, so I have tried this new recipe for buttercream and I love the taste and texture of it. The only problem is that I am having a hard time getting the color to blend evenly. It seems like the more I use the color, the more splotchy it is. I think that it may have something to do with the butter not letting the color adhere to it. I really would like for my icing to look more even toned. Please let me know if any of you have any advice or have had the same problem. I use the Wilton icing colors. Help appreciated thumbs_up.gif

I've had this happen before (with both Wilton and Americolors) when trying to get the deep clorors like red, black and navy. And it usually happens after I get the colors in the bags. My suggestion is to add a little cornstartch to it. I think the amount of color messes with the liquid content. If you add alot of water to buttercream it can get funky too.
