I just finished making a cake for a friend when she called and told me her son is sick! She is cancelling the party.

The cake is cholate and covered in mmf! The party is now one week later. Should we just keep it covered in the pantry for a week and hope the 3 year old guests don't notice?

I just can't even think about having it go to waste...

i would cover it, freeze it and then the night before the party, take it out and let it sit overnight. that will give it time to thaw. plus, the mmf will sweat, but if you leave it over night, the sweat will eventually evaporate.
