I am making my brother & cousin their cake for graduation, The School Colors are Maroon & White. It is a dark maroon.

Whats the best color mix to dye my white fondant to make Maroon?

Please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Hi icon_smile.gif

Hope this is not too late... I make Michele Foster's Fondant, and add the color in the liquid stage. I found that Maroon, and a little Brown make a good color. I did find that adding a lot of color made it a little soft, so next time I am going to add a very little bit of gum-tex or tylose to it to firm it up a bit...

Here is the fondant recipe:

Here is a cake that I did with a lot of Burgundy fondant...

Good luck!

I just used americolor maroon.. and just kept adding till I got the dark maroon... you really don't need to add a thing to the americolor maroon to get the true color icon_smile.gif
