For the bubbles, it will be really cute to copy a bubble bottle. ( HAlf so it can lie down) Make a fondant label so you can write with edible markers. ALso around the bubble bottle, pipe white circles resembling the bubbles. I saw a cake on here similar to what I mean. I will try ro fing it and let you know. As far as the balloons, keep the same 3D idea. Make a sheet cake, shell bordered in different neutral colors and make 3D balloons using the mini egg shaped pan if you have it then just draw the strings

you could pipe balloon animals on the sides and do dots of light blue icing to look like bubbles floating around... Paint them with some type of iridescent LD. You could even make a topper to look like a balloon animal or use a real one.....

martha01... i have to ask.. what do you use to design your cakes? (sorry to hijack thread)

as for bubbles and balloons ideas... what about a bathtub cake full of bubbles with a figure in the cake holding balloons (obviously these would be wires w/gumpaste balloons)

Butterfly wings.... I used Microsoft publisher. I did a tutorial for it a few weeks ago called drawing a cake in Microsoft Publisher. It also works in power point for the most part except the toolbars are in different spots.

Yeah...I would think so the only thing that I would be worried about is the weight pulling down on them. I was picturing using a round tip in varying sizes to make the "tube" of color. But dude---It is officially your cake now! Do it however works for you! icon_lol.gif I so want to make it now too though! I was actually thinking of changing my DD cake from elmo to balloon animals! icon_redface.gif I guess I may have to ask permission from you to remake your cake....
