I just started using these strips when I bake a cake and the last one I made the cake came out slanted. Like a topsy turvy cake, but not on purpose. What am I doing wrong? thumbsdown.gif

Are you soaking the strips thoroughly? I usually put mine in to soak about half an hour or so before I'm ready to use them, and weight them down in a bowl to be sure they are thoroughly covered the whole time.

I use metal binder clips (from the office supply) to attach my strips to the pan, holds them much tighter than those pins that come with the strips.

Maybe there was something that caused your pan to tilt, I can't imagine otherwise why it would have baked like that.

I use these when I bake a larger cake and have never had that problem. I soak them (weighted down in water) while I am doing everything else. Sorry I can't help with the slanting. icon_sad.gif
