Just lovely! Well done! What was the most challenging thing about the execution? What did you use for the "tilted" layers? Styrofoam? Just so exciting!!!

You should be proud....GOOD Job.....you shoud toot away cuz that looks hard, i looked at the tutorial for the topsy turvy cake...and that alone looked like a challenge...You should be sooo proud of your self!
Thanks everybody!!!
I used styrofoam wedges between the tiers, then put fondant on those. I did the fondant because I felt like it might "stick" better to the cake plates above it.
I had my husband drill a hole into my wooden cake base to put the dowel through, then literally "slid" each cake (on cardboards with a hole through them, 2nd tier was on a masonite board because it was so heavy) down the dowel onto the fondant covered styrofoam. I know lots of people put a sharpened dowel through each of the layers when it is done. But, I felt like if the dowel was actually attached to the wooden base, then it would have more stability. It worked regardless if it was the correct way to do it or not...
I definitely referred to Collette Peters, CAKES TO DREAM ON book alot. So many helpful tips... definitely glad I've collected that book along the way.
Thanks for all your positive comments ~ makes me fee like I actually can do this "decorating thing"!
