Sorry to ask another question about this whale cake but I've been trying to think how I can keep the weight of the head coming up out of the water supported without the support showing. I thought about using waves of water high enough to hide the support. Would you make them out of fondant or use some other method???? Can I use piping gel on top of the fondant? Also what could I use to make the foam on top of the wave to look more realistic? I need creative minds to help me. With many thanks.

What exaclty are you cake dimension? That would help us answer your questions.

Are you going to use support dowels in the whale cake? If so that should give you support. Is this going to be a layered/sheet cake? You could make the whale out of RKT.
