Hello Everyone! I just purchased some Creme Bouquet and some Butavan/Buvan and was wondering what is the best to use for that great "wedding" flavor? Do you put the flavor in the cake mix or the icing or both? Can you use both flavorings and if so which goes where?
Thank you so much for your help!!!

creme bouquet has a citrus flavor to it, so I add it to my lemon and orange mixes. Butavan is butter/vanilla, and I love it mixed with almond and added to mixes or icing. HTH icon_smile.gif

Butavan is a butter and vanilla flavor.

Creme Bouquet is a rich cream base with hints of citrus.

Butavan can probably stand alone, but creme bouquet is pretty mild and generally used as a flavor enhancer (in addition to your normal flavorings).

You can certainly use both butavan and creme bouquet together in either frosting or batter as I've done this. (Using creme bouquet, vanilla and butter extracts.)

I love creme bouquet, I'll use it in every cake mix because it adds "richness" to any flavor (and the hint of citrus is "mysterious" never pronounced).

HTH
