I've been looking in the galleries and have noticed some really beautiful (mainly) silver cake stands. They look very sturdy and very detailed. Does anyone know where I can get one? I wanted to post a picture as an example but I didn't get anyone's permission. I live in Austin and we only have one bake shop here and I haven't seen what I'm looking for there.

Try cakesbysam.com, or google cake plateaus.

I haven't shopped eBay in a while, but usually there are cake plateaus and plates there.

Cakedeco.com has them. I just bought mine there. It was a 16" silver square stand and it cost me about $99 which isnt bad. I used it for my last cake (the tiffany blue in my pics). Great detailing on the sides and very sturdy.

See how much you can learn on this site? They are called "plateaus" not stands. I didn't know that icon_redface.gif
