you were delivering it to a customer? Recently happened to me and I only noticed it when I was giving it to the person. However, mine was not a paying customer. Just made me wonder what to do if it happened and it was a paying customer?

No not when giving it to someone but, when decorating from time to time it happens. What I do is fill the hole with royal icing and then put the stick back in to dry.
I always check mine before creating the arrangement. Some times just pushing the stick into the foam causes issues. I once had the main focus cookie in my arrangement stick push right threw the top of the cookie. There was no repairing it...I alway make an extra though so I was okay.

Royal icing makes great glue!

This has happened to me (in transit a cookie broke) but I also make a few extra just in case.
