I got short notice on a birthday cake that has to be done tomorrow. I have the cakes baked and will flat ice and fill the cake tonight - any ideas on how/ways to decorate it? Something fairly simple? For a girl's cake I would do the swirl patter over the cake but it sure isn't very masculine. I appreciate any ideas you guys have!!!

What about a geometric pattern? Stripes or diamonds or something?

Good Idea! He is a superman fan so I did stripes on the side of the cake in the superman colors.
