I am looking for a supply company here in georgia that sells everything. I need to purchase boxes, colors, cupcake liners, fondant, flavorings, etc. I haven't found any in my area (sugar hill/buford) and was hoping someone from around here would know of a place. Thanks so much. I've found 2 but they are in norcross and stone mountain...a little farther than I'd like to have to go.

Cake Art in Tucker is the only one I know of, besides the standard Michaels/Hobby Lobby. They do have a website though, if you want to order that way. www.cakeartpartystore.com.

I get all my cake boards and boxes at Pierce Wholesale in Gainesville.
There is also the Party Shop over on Shallowford Road, or you might try Party Art in Cumming.

The competition is August 16. The theme is SHOWTIME

I live in North Georgia, right at the TN line, south of Chattanooga. I get all my decorating supplies from a store in Chattanooga, The Sugar Shoppe. They do have a website. I also go through Michaels and Hobby Lobby when necessary.

I'd like to know more about this cake competition in North Georgia. Where can I find out more info?

Has anyone tried a restaurant supply store? Both stores in my area also sell cake supplies. Not to the extent of a cake specialty store, but boards, boxes, tips and bags, pans - I can get them all there, at less cost than the cake supply places.

I have already signed up to be in the competition in August. I've never done anything like it so we'll see how it turns out. I'm totally excited though to get to be around other cake decorators.

It would be fun to say hi and maybe sit together to watch (for those going to watch)...we can cheer on the CCers! I was there last year to support a friend I met through here. I need to see if she's competing again.

I just heard crom Carol, she said that I can compete from out of state. YEAY! i can not do the one in NC because of a wedding that day, I was bummed. The format in Ga seems really fun....

anyone can participate last year you had to submit pictures and she put you in a category (beginning, intermed. or advanced). not sure how she's doing that this time.
