Gold Roses And Ruffles

Hello everyone, i am trying to make fondant gold roses or ruffles for the border of a cake,i'm going to use the edible liquid gold paint. Do i paint after the ruffles have been made and dried or when exactly.Thanks a lot

I always wait until my things are dry before I paint. Just a personal preference. Sounds pretty, hope you post a pic.

I always paint after it dries...I never heard of doing them already in gold..so I am not sure if is possible.

I'm also making gold roses and painting them . I tried one as a test when it wasn't completely dry, and the paint sort of sank in and gave it a bit of a splotchy look. So I waited for them to dry completly and then painted and dusted them...they're beautiful! I did mine from gumpaste though, but i'm sure it's similar w/ fondant.

Thank you all so much,i thought waiting for them to dry b4 painting was best , never done it so not sure,will post the picture when finished,thanks again.God bless you all.
