Hi! I have to make a cake for playgroup. Most of the children are under four. The cake will be for 50 people. I don't want any copyrighted characters. Any suggestions?

where do you meet for your playgroups? could you do a park theme, or like a backyard with some buttercream grass and some slides going down the side? I'm not familiar with playgroups, but do they get read to? Do they have a favorite book that wouldn't have copyrighted caracters on it? Do they all stop to look at caterpillars and butterflies? I know my niece did when she was 4.

good luck!

That is a lot of time with the same playgroup. Do you have photos of the kids through the years? Maybe you can do sort of an edible scrapbook or photo collage? or have a theme (favorite activity of the kids) on top as suggested before and have edible photos on the of the kids threw the years on sides of the cake?
