I am making a cake shaped like a half baseball, don't have the ball pan but I thought I read somewhere that people use either metal or glass bowls. Which one is better to use. I have a stainless steel? metal bowl that I would like to use, but I'm worried about the cake baking evenly. What do you guys suggest? I need help!

I think the glass bowls work better only because the stainless ones tend to be thin. Lower your baking temp and when the top of the cake gets as brown as you want it tent it with a sheet of aluminum foil or your top will get super crusty and burnt before the cake is completely done. These take a long time to bake!! So be patient!
