Can anyone here tell me how I would go about making a sailboat out of fondant / gumpaste. I want to make one to sit on top of the cake. icon_smile.gif

i only made one once, so i am certainly no expert. i made it out of a 50/50 mix of mmf and gumpaste. rolled it thick enough to push skewers all the way through it. then i stuck it in the freezer, to let it harden up. and i just pushed the skewers into the top of my cake. it held good. there may be a better way of doing this, that is just what i tried and it worked. i would be interested in seeing what other ideas people have.

Thanks so much for your reply. I will certainly try it. I've got 9 days left to do it, so that should be more than plenty of time.
