Can I Put The Emulsifier Back In Marshmallow Cream Fondant?

As a strict pollotarian and pig lover, I can't eat gelatin, so I'm not able to eat regular marshmallow fondant. I have tried making the marshmallow cream fondant recipe, but found that it doesn't hold its shape for figure modeling, and is really only suitable for covering cakes.

I've recently found that you can buy powdered pectin, a plant-based emulsifier, and was wondering if anyone had tried adding it to the MMCF recipe, and had good results with it.

Please let me know what you think!
