Does anyone have a good Amaretto cake recipe? Either doctored cake mix, or scratch. Thank you

This is the only cake my mom will eat.
1 pack of white cake mix
1 1/2 cups of amaretto liquer
4 eggs
1/3 veg oil
1tsp vanilla
1tsp almond flavor
1-2 cups sugar(depending on how sweet u like it)
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 package of vanilla pudding

mix all wet ingredients.
sift cake mix sugar flour and salt into wet.
add pudding mix just before your ready to put into oven
bake at 325 until cooked.

And kels_bells, I think I might have found a new favorite cake recipe! My mom and I love amaretto so I think I'm going to use this recipe to make her Mother's Day cake! Thanks for sharing! thumbs_up.gif

JANH.....Thats how I disguise my drinking problem..ROFL

You can use 1cup of the liquer and 1/2 cup cream to cut down on the liquer.

Kels,  What icing do you use on this cake? I have a customer who wants an Amaretto cake for her wedding and my go to is a cream cheese buttercream but I thought that may be too rich for this cake? What are your thoughts? Also, how dense is this cake? Can it stand up to stacking?
