Decorating By Susie43727 Updated 4 May 2008 , 5:36am by CakeDiva73
I have bought a few books to help me learn how to make people and animals. (Polymer clay) I have been using playdough to practice with but when I make them they just look awful. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to better myself at this? Thank you for your time and have a great day. Oh yeah!! I love cc and all the members. You just cant ever say that enough. Tee Hee!!
Have you tried the videos on CC by Aine2. For example:

You can also get her tutorials @ http://www.extra-icing.blogspot.com
I also like Frances McNaughton DVD and book (at Globalsugarart.com).
Good luck and have fun!
There are lots of how-to's for animals in the templates section of the gallery:

Hi Susie
I just wanted to let ya know I have started putting videos on youtube that show how I make animals such as a spotted puppy and a mouse, out of gumpaste/fondant I have others that I will be putting on soon as well as people and babies here is the link if you would like to check it out, both of the videos that are on there right now have 3 parts to each, hopefully this will help you. Making figurines is my passion!
Here is the link to my youtube page,
Donna
Thanks to all you helpfull people who put these videos online - it is so incredibly helpful to us. I watched the Aine one for a teddy bear and used caramels - followed her instructions and it took me about 3 minutes and the bear looked exactly as hers did - I felt like such a rock star. lol.
