I have frozen cake layers with good results before. Has anyone frozen cupcakes? How well do they do after being frozen? Do they separate from the paper cups? How do you wrap them so they don't dry out? Thanks.

I do the same as I do with my cake layers. I soak them with simple syrup, then individually wrap them in saran wrap then wrap about 1/2 dozen at a time in press n seal, then cover in foil. They last for a good week or so that way. Just bring to room temp before decorating.

I have kept my cupcakes in the freezer for a week, I make my cc's the week before I need them because I work full time and have a large family that needs lots of attention.

I baked, cooled completely, placed on cookie sheet, wrapped well in plastic wrap and froze. Have not had a problem with liners coming off and the cake was very moist and delicious when defrosted and frosted.

Everyone like them.
